Dale Drew joins Vantage as chief information security officer.
Drew joins Vantage as customers increasingly require trusted partners capable of delivering secure, reliable capacity at speed and scale. In this role, he will work closely with Vantage’s technology, operations, risk, legal and executive leadership teams to reinforce the company’s security posture and help position security as a business enabler. For customers, that means a continued focus on security, resilience and compliance.
“As Vantage continues to scale, our cybersecurity capabilities need to mature with the business,” Friedberg said. “Dale brings deep experience operating in complex, critical infrastructure environments and understands how to connect security, risk and resilience to the needs of the business and our customers. That is exactly the perspective we need as we grow.”
“Vantage sits at the center of how the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure gets built, which makes security a design requirement, not an afterthought,” Drew said. “I look forward to working with the team to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and give customers confidence in Vantage from day one.”
Drew joins Vantage from EchoStar and DISH Network, where he most recently served as senior vice president and chief information security officer for DISH Wireless and led security architecture at EchoStar, overseeing enterprise cybersecurity strategy, security architecture, threat intelligence and AI governance.
Previously, Drew held senior leadership roles at Zayo Group and Level 3 Communications, leading global security operations and developing customer-facing security services, in addition to supporting the integration of more than 50 acquisitions. He began his career with the U.S. Secret Service and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, specializing in cybercrime investigations and digital forensics. He holds 16 patents spanning cybersecurity, network technologies and AI governance and has testified before Congress on cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection.
