    Ultimate Betrayal: Miniroll’s Sonic Sacrilege.

    Published on:

The Ultimate Ears Miniroll is a watered-down, miniature version of its former self – a pathetic attempt to cram a decent speaker into a pocket-sized container. At a whopping 4 inches in diameter and 1.9 inches thick, it’s almost as if they’re trying to hide the fact that it’s a glorified tin can with a battery and a wire attached. The weight? A paltry 9.8 ounces (279g), making it a mere featherweight compared to the mighty sound it claims to produce. And don’t even get me started on the strap – a flimsy piece of plastic that’s more likely to break than to hold up the speaker in the first place.

And who thought it was a good idea to call this… thing a “speaker”?

And don’t even get me started on the “PartyUp” feature – a pathetic attempt to make up for the speaker’s lack of sound quality by allowing you to pair multiple Minirolls together. But let’s be real, it’s not like it’s going to make a difference. And as for the battery life? A laughable 12 hours of playback. Try using it for an entire day without needing a recharge, I dare you.
